Samsung’s Omnia II / GT-I8000 Leaks Early?

Technorati ProfileHere is a new information about new Samsung GT-I8000 or as known as Omnia 2 / Omnia II.  This model belongs to the same series as a simple phone, Samsung GT-S8000 Cubic TouchWiz interface. From the reported, however, apparently occurred just leaked. It is also assumed that it is Samsung I8000 will be presented to the grand event, which will be held simultaneously in London, Singapore and Dubai. On  new Omnia, this mobile phone class based Windows Mobile 6.1 OS (update to version 6.5 will be released later).

This Samsung I8000  is equipped with a large touch AMOLED display almost the entire front panel, a hardware keyboard is provided. Also, it is features with diagonal screen is 3.7 inches WVGA, resolution is 800×480 pixels, the display supports up to 16M colors. This mobile phone also  equipped with an 8.1 MP camera with dual LED flash and video recording function with VGA resolution and speed of 30 frames per second.

Meanwhile, Samsung I8000 OMnia 2 is based on a Qualcomm MSM6290 processor and supports the mobile communications 2G and 3G standards including HSDPA (7.2 Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76 Mbps). Additionally, among them are support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, GPS receiver and microSD slot (supports up to 32 GB). For the internal memory, it is support until 150 MB. Besides that, Samsung I8000 is using the new animated “cubic” interface: it is also includes the previously leaked Samsung S8000 Jet and M8000 and on the verge of which can accommodate different start screens. For the exterior, it is equipped with  a thin shell, whose thickness does not exceed 11.9 mm. From the information,   sales of Samsung I8000 Omnia 2 start in the Q3 of this year.
